Faster Flight – Narrow seating

We started planning this trip almost 2 years ago, so pre-booked many things along the way, one of which, our flight with Air France.

We try to book the front row seats or another row that looks like it has more leg room.

This flight we’d booked the front row, on the right side of the plane, only to discover they’ve made the seats narrower yet again. I mean, you can barely move to eat when your neighbour is also trying to eat. This was a smaller plane & that meant everything was smaller. You can’t put your seat back very far, which makes sleeping on this 8-9 hour flight next to impossible.

The service from Vancouver by the flight attendants was good, although they didn’t come around much offering garbage pickup or water, but the food, ugh. We had some kind of chicken & vegs in white sauce with mashed sweet potatoe. Not very good. We’re always grateful to see the bun with cheese. There is often this small salad that is like slaw, made with cabbage & for a few reasons, I wish they’d stop serving that. There were some pretzel type treats & a wee cake for dessert that was tasty. We drank water with our meal.

Just prior to arrival in Paris we were served breakfast, I’m unsure what the savoury pastry was, not very good. Again, a bun with cream cheese & jam saved the day. There were a couple of pieces of fruit, drinkable yogurt & a little cake.

We did fly quicker than was scheduled so that was good.
