We are heading to Paris shortly and eager to launch our new travel newsletter from Europe.

It’s 5 days until we fly out… the luggage is sitting on the floor in the office with clothing & charging cords, travel size shampoo, even my e-reader tossed in haphazardly… the actual finalizing of what goes in our carry on & personal item will be this weekend.

I’m starting to rethink this not-taking-checked-baggage thing… 8 weeks is a very long time to only have what fits in a carry on… it’ll be fine, we’ll find a laundromat or wash things in our washroom & hang them to dry like we’ve done before.

We’ve got our itinerary & plans of what we really want to see, eat & do. We plan to see the Louvre, take a dinner cruise on the Seine & visit Notre Dame, to start. There are markets & libraries, museums & statues… and the architecture… don’t get us started.

We’re most looking forward to staying in the little apartment we’ve rented, as it looks so lovely & is near the Arc de Triomphe.

Follow along as we take in all that is Paris. We’ll certainly be visiting Notre Dame, following the restoration after the devastating fire.

The Louvre has been on our bucket list for a while. Watch for future newsletters coming soon.

Going to the Louvre. . .

Which entrance should I use?

The Pyramid is the Louvre’s main entrance. At peak times, you may also be able to use the Carrousel or Porte des Lions entrances.

Finding your way around the museum

Download the museum map or take one at the information desk located under the Pyramid upon arrival.
