VERDICT: We gave 4 out of 5 tickets and here’s why!
A bold, blossom-covered café in Le Marais that blends charm, character, and classic Parisian moments
On Rue de Rivoli, in Le Marais, is a spectacular restaurant called La Favorite. The whole front of the building is covered in bright pink blossoms, with sparkling lights. You just have to go in!
Inside, it’s like you’ve stepped into a chic dreamy garden, all pink blossoms & vines. There were quite a lot of customers when we arrived at 10am, clearly regulars of all kinds. I ordered a cappuccino that arrived all frothy, with a cinnamon sprinkle, Mr. MRT (My Return Ticket) had, of course, chocolat chaud, also frothy & rich.

We Didn’t Expect This Café in Paris 🌸
We ordered a flaky, toasted croissant with melted cheese, fried egg & bacon, it came with a leafy salad that had pretty little jewels of pomegranate on top.
We could watch the construction happening in the street, along with the people rushing to and fro, thinking how nice it was that we could just sit and enjoy the time together with such a nice meal.
As we were leaving we saw a quirky little feature we hadn’t noticed on the way in… a bright pink flamingo, in a sunhat… we love a place with personality!
Where to find this restaurant?
Located in one of the most walkable and culturally rich areas of Le Marais, La Favorite Saint Paul stands out instantly; not just for its striking exterior, but for the experience it delivers from the moment you step inside. While many cafés in Paris lean toward understated elegance, this one takes a different approach, bold, colourful, and unapologetically eye-catching.
Rue de Rivoli itself is one of the city’s most iconic streets, stretching past major landmarks and offering a constant flow of local life and visitor energy. That makes La Favorite an ideal pause point, somewhere to step off the busy pavement and reset. It’s particularly well positioned if you’re exploring nearby attractions like Place des Vosges or simply wandering through the boutique-lined streets that define this part of Paris.

What to expect…
What elevates the experience here is the balance between atmosphere and simplicity. It’s easy for highly stylized cafés to lean too far into aesthetics, but here the food and drink hold their own. It feels like a place designed for lingering, whether you’re starting your day, taking a mid-morning break, or just enjoying a moment of stillness in a city that rarely slows down.
For travellers building out a Paris itinerary, this is exactly the kind of stop that adds texture to the trip. Not a major landmark, not overhyped, but memorable, distinctive, and worth seeking out. It’s these smaller, character-filled experiences that often become the ones you talk about long after the trip ends.
With every trip, we offer feedback to travel companies along with honest views for you, the reader. We rate adventures on a scale of one to five tickets, judged on quality, service, memorability, and price. A perfect ‘Ticket Rating’ of a five-ticket score means the experience was flawless and we’d eagerly return. Your desire to go back is the ultimate measure of a trip’s worth.
