You go enjoy the Plaza Premium Lounge at YVR
We were flying with British Airways to London out of Vancouver International Airport & happened to have two Airport Lounge vouchers through our investment company… we’ve never been in the lounges before so thought, why not?!
We chose the Plaza Premium Lounge on the second floor & had a lovely hostess check our boarding passes, sign us in, then show us to the comfortable seating.
There are bistro tables for two, little cubby-like chairs with a ledge for a snack or drink & lounge chairs with small side tables & a view of the airplanes & travellers below.
There’s plenty of charging stations with numerous outlets & free wifi.
The Plaza serves a good buffet with a variety of hot & cold dishes, fresh salads, buns, and a self-service station with complimentary beverages, including coffee, tea, local British Columbia wines & premium draught beer. The vegetarian meatballs were delicious in a tomato sauce, the hunter chicken was moist & tasty & the parsnip mashed potatoes were also really good. There were pretzels & nacho chips if you only wanted a nibble.
There was artisan yogurt, chocolate chips cookies + an assortment of cakes for dessert.
We really enjoyed our crisp clear glass of white wine.
Don’t worry about space, as there’s room for your luggage to stay with you.
The washrooms were very clean & properly topped up with plenty of soap, paper towels etc.
As we were ready to leave, we popped some fresh lemon & orange slices into the reusable drink containers we bring with us, adding some fresh water for the flight (who’s not spending $6 on a bottle of water… this girl!)
The Plaza Premium Lounge is located in the International Departures area of YVR, between Gate D67 and D68.
