We’re proud grandparents to 8 grandsons! Since we’re still of working age, we try to sneak in what time we can to have quality visits with each of them (although 3 live in the UK, so that’s a little harder).
Legenda Bistro, Chilliwack, BC
This past Sunday we were taking the second oldest for brunch, but couldn’t think of where to go & this young man is somewhat of a foodie… then Mr. MRT remembered Legends Bistro at Cultus Lake.
To start, it was a beautiful morning, absolutely gorgeous, as far as sunshine & a cool, fresh temperature. The drive to the lake is always pretty with the lush green forest & surrounding mountains.
Legends Bistro can be found at the Cultus Lake Golf Club, along with Tap Ins, their putting course, Top Tracer, their driving range & a Pro Shop.
We chose a seat in the window to see the golf course, which was immaculately groomed, and we had excellent service right away.
The server was friendly, efficient & came around just enough to ask after us & refresh our drinks. The breakfast sandwich our grandson ordered looked delicious: nice thick sourdough bread with really good bacon, cheese, tomato & arugula.
Mr. MRT had the Early Birdie with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns & toast & I thoroughly enjoyed my avocado toast: sourdough bread, smashed avocado, arugula, an egg with a hot honey drizzle, served with hashbrowns. The coffee was good too.
They’re also known for hosting delicious steak nights + Rendezvous Nights, if you’re from the area you’ll remember the beloved Greek restaurant, if not, go to a Rendezvous Night & see what the fuss is all about!
The Bistro itself was clean & comfortable with amazing views from every seat. We watched the golfers heading out for a round & a duck paddling in the fountain.
We felt the pricing was very reasonable & portion sizes were good. Afterward, head up the road a ways and walk along Cultus Lake if you want to see STUNNING British Columbia at its best!
