Venice, the capital of Italy’s Veneto region, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site unlike anywhere else on earth. The city is spread across 118 small islands, divided by a maze of canals and connected by more than 400 bridges. These islands sit within the Venetian Lagoon, a shallow bay between the mouths of the Po and Piave rivers, creating a setting that feels both fragile and timeless.
