Watch: Kayak Emerald Cove, Black Canyon

Black Canyon | Kayak Emerald Cove

Kayaking Black Canyon across two states – Nevada and Arizona, USA.

If there’s one experience that completely flips expectations of Las Vegas, it’s a kayak trip through Black Canyon along the Colorodo River. This video follows our half-day journey on calm, glassy water, with only a light breeze breaking the stillness, a sharp contrast to the noise and pace of the Strip.

We chose the shorter trip deliberately. After a week spent moving from desk to car to meetings and back again, this was about getting outside, moving our bodies, and resetting. We’d taken a similar trip before and knew it delivered exactly that: quiet, physical, and surprisingly restorative.

The video highlight is Emerald Cove, a small cave you paddle into by reversing your kayak so you’re facing outward. Inside, the water glows a vivid green while remaining completely clear, creating one of those rare moments that feels both peaceful and visually unreal. It’s an experience that stays with you long after the paddle ends. Emerald Cove was featured in National Geogarphic.
