VERDICT: WE GAVE 5 OUT OF 5 TICKETS AND HERE’S WHY!

Morocco combines ancient cities, dramatic mountains, Atlantic coastline and vast desert landscapes. From the energy of Marrakech to traditional Berber villages and historic kasbahs, it delivers an extraordinary mix of culture, history and adventure.

Ancient Medinas, Atlas Mountains and Unforgettable Moroccan Adventures. We had no idea what to expect when we booked our trip to Morocco. We had read so much about this fascinating destination that, from the moment we landed in Marrakech, we couldn’t wait to start exploring.

We headed straight from Marrakech Airport to Riad Catalina, our home in the heart of the city. Despite loud music from nearby restaurants late into the night, the riad was fabulous and perfectly positioned for exploring. Our travels took us from the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa and spectacular Ouzoud Waterfalls to the Atlantic coast at Essaouira.

One of our highlights was a journey across the Atlas Mountains, visiting traditional communities, film studios and Aït Ben Haddou, the remarkable fortified village made famous by countless movies and television productions. Our Moroccan adventure ended high above the desert on a magical sunrise hot-air balloon flight, facing the Atlas Mountains in the distance. Morocco surprised us at every turn, and our firsthand guides will help you experience this remarkable country with confidence.
