This article is part of our 14 Days in Marrakech: Ultimate Guide. We visited the famous Jemaa el Fnaa market, ancient Ait Ben Haddou, travelled the Atlas Mountains and saw the incredible Ouzoud Waterfalls. Our trip also included a stay at the Riad Catalina and a one in a lifetime Hot Air Balloon flight over the desert.

A Perfect Place To Relax. . .

This little cafe is right across from Koutoubia Minaret, allowing you to sit back, sip a refreshment while taking in Morocco’s sights and sounds, record some notes and photos, converse with friends, or read your guide book for inspiration before heading into Jemaa el-Fna.

The drinks and food are affordable. The two elderly waiters in suits lent a special atmosphere with a bit of elegance.

It is now favourite coffee stop (mint tea) in Marrakech, a haven of peace, whether in the morning or in the evening, there is always a little atmosphere with good music! And in the evening you have a breathtaking view (I advise you to go to the top for a better view) and the meal 10/10 everything is delicious.

While sitting in Cafe Koutoubia, admiring Koutoubia Mosque, we saw all kinds of people going about their day… I felt it deserved a gallery. People are fascinating. Locals and visitors alike all going about their business.
