What did we think?

We ate at this restaurant some years back and decided to give it another try. We were so glad we did, as the food, service, atmosphere were all absolutely perfect. Now, highly recommended.

What do you do when you find yourself in Chilliwack on a beautiful sunny September afternoon? You find your way to the Airport Restaurant.

We sat on the patio with an incredible view of the runway & the mountains.

The service was quick, friendly & efficient, with a smiling face everywhere you looked.

We ordered a Smoked Salmon Bowl and an Airport Burger (bacon & cheese, of course). The salmon & roasted vegetables were cooked perfectly but I’d asked to have the Tahini dressing instead of the soy sauce dressing & they’d kept the soy on the quinoa & also had the Tahini so it was a bit too salty so I couldn’t finish it. Mr. MRT’s burger was excellent (he doesn’t like sauce of any kind and they’d remembered that).

When you go, make sure you take a piece of their famous pie home with you. They’ve been known for it for years.

Good food, and the sound of airplanes landing & taking off, made for a great lunchtime experience.

The Chilliwack Airport Restaurant is a casual, aviation-themed eatery located inside the Chilliwack Airport at 46244 Airport Rd, Chilliwack.

Menu & Highlights

  • Classic Comfort Food: Famous for hearty home-style breakfasts (such as The Works Omelette), burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and poutine.
  • Homemade Pies: Known for a rotating selection of fresh, homemade pies. They even feature a “Fly for Pie & Coffee” afternoon special ($8) from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
  • Special Tasting Menus: Beyond standard diner fare, they occasionally offer multi-course tasting menus (such as periodic 5- or 6-course evening tasting experiences) on select days.
